Double Up is the second studio album by Harlem rapper Mase, released in 1999 and distributed by Bad Boy Records. The album sold 107,000 copies in its first week, debuting at #11. Shortly after the release, Mase quit rap to become a Christian pastor.

Reception

The album was moderately well received by both critics and fans. Entertainment Weekly raved "Mase cannily packs his tracks with can't-miss samples...But it's his words, delivered with chilling, methodical clarity, that cut deepest." However, Mase's unwillingness to promote the album and a general lack of promotion greatly hurt sales. The album is widely considered a predictable and "by the book" follow up to his classic debut Harlem World.
